Career background
In a previous life, Yolanda was an international fashion, hand-knitwear designer and producer of high-end hand-knit wear.
She won awards and taught Designs Workshops with Craft Australia and David Jones, designed and produced two ranges of hand-knitted garments annually for the USA market, wrote, designed and produced hand knitwear books for women, men and children.
She taught Costume Design for the Theatre at James Cook University Qld part-time.
Qualifications
Yolanda is a qualified teacher and trained at Ardmore Teachers College, Auckland, New Zealand.
She was a full time student at the three-year Textile Design Course at the Royal University of Melbourne, Australia and received a BA in Textile Design.
Usui Reiki Teacher & Meditation
Yolanda is a practicing Usui Reiki Master Teacher, has been on the Reiki NZ national committee twice and has taught and practiced Reiki extensively for over 22 years, seeing many miracles of body and mind over the years.
Yolanda teaches all levels of Usui Reiki, has meditated for over 40 years and attends regular spiritual training at Ekam, the O&O Academy, Southern India and is a Member with Sri Preethaji's 12 month Manifest series.
In her spare time, she loves her extended family, walking, gardening, reading, BBC & Moari TV, interior design & architecture, cinema, art and design and practices daily Meditation and Usui Reiki.
