We call every human an “individual” meaning that which is “indivisible”. Every human experience is the sum total of the physical, mental, emotional, moral and spiritual dimensions. When these dimensions are out of sync then the individual is fragmented. These components are dependently co-arising on each other. When you are emotionally disturbed, your health starts to fail (physical), thoughts go haywire (mental), you loose track of your core values and principles (moral), suffer a decline in your levels of joy and understanding in relationships (spiritual) etc. You could apply this principle on any dimensions and see how the others are affected.
Consciousness of a person is the totality of these experiences. Hence a conscientious effort on any one alone is not going to bear fruit. Consciousness is that which you radiate out into the world around you. It is this that determines the whats? Whos? and whys? of your life.
