Some Background

Yolanda is a trained teacher (Ardmore Teachers College New Zealand) and her last teaching position was lecturing in the Costume/Drama Dept. at James Cook University, QLD Australia.

Yolanda went ‘back to school' for three years full time at 29 and worked three part-time jobs to put herself through her Visual Arts/Textile Design qualifications (RMIT Melbourne Australia). She designed for Prue Acton Australia then went solo with her fashion freelance knitwear design and production skills (“Surface Paradise' and ‘Yolanda Cholmondeley-Smith' labels) teaching throughout Australia and New Zealand what she learnt herself about knitwear design, color and creation. Her designer garments sold in top Australian and Californian USA boutiques and galleries. Yolanda freelance designed and produced for international yarn companies for a decade and founded the Handknitters Guild in Melbourne Australia.

Yolanda is a Usui Reiki Master with thousands of hours of professional practice in teaching and transferring Reiki energy. She has been a Oneness Blessing facilitator since 2005 training initially at the Oneness University, Tamil Nadu, India.
